Begun in 1994, Still Life
is an ongoing commitment to object-making/non-painting made of rose petals, acrylic gel and varnish. The skeletals range from galvanized wire, to domestic recyclables to packaging. I made this installation in 2015, consisting of plastic food, drink and toy containers and packaging set atop a children's furniture set. There's a sense of both excess and frugality; death and life; decay and possibility.
